Welcome to Weaver Blades, My name is Derrick and I've been a knifemaker since 2023. I had spent the previous 3 years learning woodworking I was looking for something new to learn. Around this time I came across the forged in Fire spinoff Knife or Death. Being a blade enthusiast and lifelong martial artist I was intrigued. There were some awful , cheap blades. There were also some beautiful competition choppers and even what I can only describe as a Buster Sword made by the contestant himself. A short time later I was taking a class with a local ABS Journeyman Bladesmith. In just two days I had learned enough to start my bladesmith journey. I now have a small woodworking\blade smithing shop at my home. With the support of my loving wife of 20 years and our two boys. My dream is to start a nonprofit to teach veterans like myself to find peace though making things with there own hands.
